abstract

Analyses of the current state of the species population in Ukraine, a list of factors of the negative influence and list of measures which may give a chance to preserve the species population in Ukraine are presented. Among conservation measures there first results of the practical protection of the lynx in Polissian Reserve are given. One of the nearest tasks for the lynx research in Polissya is studying of the spatial structure of the population, mapping of breeding territories, elaboration of recommendations for creation of new reserved territories.
