abstract

The bat fauna research was carried out in the territory of the Verkhniobohdanivka village, which is located at the headwater of the Kovsuh River. The attention was paid to synanthropic locations. In total, five refuges of bats were found. Five species of bats were registered: Myotis aurascens, Myotis daubentonii, Plecotus auritus, Pipistrellus kuhlii, Eptesicus serotinus. 110 specimens of five species were contactly examined. All five recorded species were confirmed as breeding in the Kovsuh River Valley. This research has confirmed the presence of M. aurascens in Luhansk Region.
