abstract

A complex description of bat fauna of the left-bank Ukraine in borders of four administrative regions (Kyiv, Chernigiv, Poltava, Cherkasy) is given. Study carried out during 20012017 in 94 localities and supplemented by the data from literature and museum collections. 11 species were recorded by authors: Myotis dasycneme, M. daubentonii, Nyctalus leisleri, N. noctula, Plecotus auritus, P. austriacus, Pipistrellus kuhlii, P. nathusii, P. pygmaeus, Eptesicus serotinus, Vespertilio murinus(1579 ind. examined contactly, 188 roosts recorded). An annotations to this list of species with maps of their records is presented; analyse species ratio by number of their records localities; characterise the seasonality of their presence; analyse data on roosts, both in warm and winter seasons; present data on relative number of species, their reproductive status and sex ratio during breeding season. A special attention was given for the inventory of bat fauna of nature protected objects (n=19). The row of bat conservation problems in the region is outlined.
