The Bechshteins bat is a rare but typical species of bats for broad-leaved forests of Transcarpathia and in general for the west of Ukraine. Known collected specimens and a new previously unknown species find in the plain part of Transcarpathia in the tract "Chorna Hora", near the village of Korolevo is described. The diagnostic features of the species are considered, since a significant number of errors known today (existing collections and the history of the described discovery) indicate typical identification errors, in particular in the identification of this species as Plecotus auritus. Among other formalized features available for analysis, even for low-quality photos, attention was drawn to the size and shape of the ears and the shape and distal placement of rhinarium. In general, there are at least 15 species locations in Transcarpathia today, including 8 confirmed descriptions or collections.
