abstract

Kuhl’s pipistrelle Pipistrellus kuhlii was registered 10.02.2016 in Sarny city, Rivne region. The animal was found on the ground near a multi-storey brick building. The species and sex of the animal was identified based on photo. This case is the first registration of the species in the territory of Rivne region. Until now, the species was known in all adjacent administrative regions (Volyn, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Brest), but not in Rivne region, and the described record proves the continuous species range in the region.
