Mammals of Ukraine Protected
by the Bern Convention

Proceedings of the Theriological School, Volume 2

english version Summary. The book is devoted to mammals protected in Ukraine in accordance with Bern Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats. The issue includes 38 expert assessments combined in 6 chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the main provisions of the Bern Convention, general characteristics of the mammal fauna of Ukraine, and insectivore mammals. The following four chapters are devoted to bats, carnivores, rodents, and ungulates. The checklist of Ukraine's mammal fauna is given with conservation statuses of species indicated. Additionally, information on mammals experts and authors of reviews are given as well.
